2. Local processing by design

Druckarchiv manages library folders expressly selected by the user on the Mac and imported file copies in its own library on the iPad. Libraries, models, preview data, search indexes, favorites, duplicate information and settings are processed locally. The app does not require a Druckarchiv account and does not transmit models or library contents to Druckarchiv.

No telemetry, crash analytics, advertising or analytics services are planned for the Apple Store builds of version 1.0. Druckarchiv does not collect app data for the purpose of Apple's App Privacy disclosure. This statement must be checked against the final signed build and all direct and transitive components before submission.

3. Library access and local storage

App Sandbox must be enabled in the Mac App Store build intended for submission. Access is intended to be limited to library folders selected by the user through the macOS system dialog. Security-scoped bookmarks are intended to be stored only locally for later launches, solely to restore previously granted access. Blanket access to the home folder or entire disk is not intended for the Store build.

Druckarchiv works directly in the selected folders. Following an explicit user action, it may add files, create folders, and rename, move or place files and folders in the operating system's Trash. These local operations are not collection or transmission of data to Druckarchiv. If moving an item to Trash fails, the app must not fall back to permanent deletion.

On iPad, files explicitly imported through Apple's Files picker are stored as copies in the app's storage. Originals remain in their source location. There is no automatic synchronization with the Mac library. The iPad version offers neither desktop slicer integration nor the macOS Trash workflow. Removing the app can remove its local library; important originals and backups should therefore be kept outside the app.

Local library, favorite and preference data remains on the device. Any necessary migration should first create a locally recoverable backup and must not delete source data without permission.

4. Apple App Store, purchase record and updates

Updates are provided exclusively through the respective Apple App Store. Druckarchiv operates neither its own updater nor its own license server.

On Mac (macOS 13 or later) and iPad (iPadOS 16 or later), the Store build uses Apple's modern StoreKit AppTransaction verification. The initial Apple purchase check starts only when you select it and may require a connection to Apple. Restoration also starts only after an explicit selection and may display Apple's authentication prompt.

After StoreKit has verified the Apple-signed transaction and its binding to this device, the app saves a protected local record in its own storage. A device-local key in the operating system's keychain protects that record against modification; it does not synchronize through iCloud. Later launches check this local record without automatically contacting Apple or running a recurring activation. No file, model, library or device-identifier data is sent to Druckarchiv. Apple's own privacy terms apply to processing by Apple.

Missing or invalid records show recovery options without changing libraries or models or abruptly closing the app. If the protected record cannot be saved, the app explains that another Apple check may be needed at the next launch. The saved record documents a previous successful verification; it is not a live check of refunds or changes to sharing.

5. Opening external apps and pages

On Mac, following an explicit action, selected compatible local files can be handed to a locally installed slicer app bundle. OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio and PrusaSlicer are addressed only through app-opening mechanisms provided by macOS. Another installed slicer may be selected through the system dialog and that choice stored locally and revocably. No freely entered commands, scripts or launch arguments are stored, and the selection is not transmitted to Druckarchiv. The slicer's terms and privacy information apply to any processing it subsequently performs.

Following an explicit user action, the app may open the localized support, update, file-format or legal page in the default browser. No user, device, file or library data and no unique identifier is appended to the URL. The app itself does not send a support request.

6. Email support

If you email support@druckarchiv.com or legal@druckarchiv.com, that processing is separate from the app. Details are provided in the website privacy policy. Ordinary support inquiries are deleted no later than twelve months after final resolution, and earlier when no longer needed; legal retention and evidence-preservation purposes are separated and limited to the required period. Models, archives, logs and other attachments should be sent only when expressly requested.

7. No other recipients or automated decisions

Druckarchiv does not transmit app usage, model or library data to its own servers or to advertising, analytics or telemetry providers. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.

8. Rights and supervisory authority

Where Druckarchiv processes personal data outside the purely local use of the app, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, subject to the legal requirements. 9. Changes

If the processing described here changes, this policy will be updated with a new document version and effective date.
